Principal's Message - September 7

Principal’s Message
Welcome to a new school year!  My name is Ms. Maralee Lincoln and I am the new principal at Mt. Lehman Elementary.  I am thrilled to be a part of the best elementary school in all of Abbotsford and can’t wait to take part in all of Mt. Lehman’s fabulous activities.
This past June I had the opportunity to visit Mt. Lehman and meet all the students.  What nice happy children! I sure am looking forward to seeing all those smiling faces and joyful kids in action.
I have been an educator for 20 years and have a background in fine and performing arts, and primary education.  I am looking forward to teaching your children physical education.  I will also be squeezing in some, outdoor education, and fine and performing arts in some classes occasionally.
My husband Tony Dekleva is an English Techer and Teacher Librarian at Yale Secondary.  We have two teenage daughters Mia-Mae 17 years and Amelie 14 years.  Our daughters are competitive Irish dancers and keep me tapping.  I enjoy painting, gardening, and attending live performances.  I am hopeful and look forward to a normal school year where all school events gradually return to how they were before the pandemic started.
All safety measures will be followed, as I am advised by the district.  It is super important to me that students and staff are safe while at school.

Sincerely,
Maralee Lincoln
