Mt. Lehman Community Cleanup

Students from Division 2 and Division 3 participated in the Mt Lehman Community Cleanup this past week, as a joint activity giving back to our community and sharing its beauty.  The Mt. Lehman Community Hall helped to provide bags and tongs for picking up streetside trash, and coordinated by Ms. Murphy, Mr. Chiappetta, and UFV practicum student Ms. LaForce.  Thanks to all our students helping to pitch in for a good cause!

Thanking our First Responders

In a citizenship project intiated by our UFV Student Teachers (Ms. LaForce, Ms. Dennett, Ms. Tyne), the respective classes made thank you cards to acknowledge the hard work and efforts of our local businesses and first responders this past year in keeping everyone safe.  Some of those groups acknowledged by our student cards included Mt Lehman Fire Department, Abbotsford Police, SPCA, Peterbilt, as well as Canuck Place Children's Hospice.  You can imagine the surprise and smiles from our students when they received a reply from the groups we were thanking!
